The Web Developer works collaboratively with project management, creative, and information architect team to build a wide range of websites for our clients. The Web Developer is also often called upon to handle other technical issues such as web hosting, web server configuration, training, QA, staging and development environments, etc. A web developer is expected to be an inspired and passionate team member with an excellent command of a wide range of technologies and a passion for their area of expertise (.Net). They should seek to be constantly learning, and staying current with industry standards. What you’ll be doing: Bringing creative to life online! Projects include: • Building CSS-based HTML promotional microsites that need to accurately reflect very creative designs. These often incorporate javascript (including jquery) functionality to handle forms, effects, and other dynamic items • Coding data-driven microsites where you build a CSS/HTML front end and corresponding SQL Server back-end to store information • Developing entire websites that include member areas with specific user-based functionality, back-ends to allow for content management, and other dynamic pieces of functionality • Developing and consuming web services. Many of our projects involve coordination with other vendors. Because of this, web services (or similar technologies) are built to process and pass information between various partner servers What you need to qualify: • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. 4+ years experience with HTML/CSS/Javascript, including incorporating Flash as well as developing and trouble-shooting for various browsers (IE6, IE7, Firefox, Safari, Chrome…) • 4+ years experience with ASP.NET (VB.NET) • 3+ years experience with MSSQL Server 2000 and 2005 • Knowledge of developing and consuming web services • Strong time management abilities • Ability to estimate effort and consistently meet deadlines • Contribute to a team environment that promotes continual creative improvement and a culture of innovation, excellence and accountability • Uphold quality standards of all creative deliverables • Understand, embrace, and exemplify company’s mission and values • Participate in new business and inner-office creative activities as requested. Plusses • Experience creating and managing e-mail blasts utilizing Campaigner, Constant Contact or similar vendor • Intermediate Photoshop experience and knowledge of cutting and saving web-ready images • Experience working with Visual SourceSafe
