We’re looking for a strong, experienced Lead Freelance Interactive Producer to jump right in and work with one of our major clients in seeing through the completion of their website and remaining deliverables for a mid August 2009 completion date. As this person will be picking up the ball towards the end of the project cycle, we need someone who is able to quickly get up to speed in understanding the strategy and architecture of this website and make sure remaining details get executed right. Hands-on skills are valued, but our needs for the most part involve orchestrating others rather than doing directly. Background Needed: • 5 to 7 years interactive/digital media agency experience with account/project management responsibilities. • Experience with the development of large-scale websites and a strong understanding of web development technologies (Flash, HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, CMS, server side scripting languages, database development, and social media platforms). • Strong command of project management principles, processes, standards, and tools. • Strong experience working with all agency players, including creative, technical, account staff on the inside, as well as clients, vendors, and partners on the outside. • Strong leadership skills and commitment required to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. • Quick learner and the ability to get up to speed fast. • Strong organizational and presentation skills. • Strong attention to detail and process for task completion. • Understanding of information design and architecture and how it supports the user experience. • Ability to write and speak clearly and to communicate complex systems visually. • Comfort in thinking speculatively—in lending expertise even in new or unclear areas. • A professional bearing with strong interpersonal/problem-solving skills and the ability to lead all agency players in a demanding and fast paced environment. Responsibilities: • Oversee overall project management strategy and manage resources, schedules, project milestones, quality, and documentation to ensure project requirements and deliverables are clearly communicated, understood and executed on time and within budget. • Work with account and technical staff and vendors to fulfill project requirements. • Work with technical groups to write remaining project documents (including scoping, testing, QA, and security plans) that can be delivered to the client. • Oversee implementation of Flash, HTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript coding framework in line with creative designs and layouts. • Communicate with creative, technical, account, and management smoothly and frequently. • Collaborate creatively across departments, formats, and client. • Present ideas and architecture clearly and persuasively to management and client.
